A free, bi-weekly board game night in northwest Portland. Running every other Saturday since July 2021. Bring a game, bring nothing, bring a friend. All three are correct.
Doors open at 4 PM. Most people roll in between 5 and 7. Make a name tag at the door. They help. Two cats live here, though you may only meet one of them.
Walk through the rooms. Watch tables. Ask "got room for one more?" The answer is almost always yes. A new game starts every 20 minutes or so.
It's always a potluck. Bring something to share if you want. Different dishes rotate through the kitchen as the night goes on. Plenty of regulars just show up empty-handed too. Both work.
GameCon has been happening since 2021. No staff, no business behind it. Just regulars who pitch in. Different people set up the rooms, restock the library, answer questions, and keep things running each night.
We're always looking for more hands. If you've been around a few times and want to help out, say hi in Discord.
There's no application and no commitment. Help set up, restock snacks, welcome new folks, teach a game. Whatever fits. Drop a note in Discord or pull anyone aside on a game night.
